The Shanghai Suzhou Hunan high-speed railway will be put into operation on December 26th, and tickets will be available for sale from 11:00 on December 25th. This means that a new channel will be added from Wenzhou to Shanghai, and the travel time from Wenzhou to Huzhou and Suzhou will also be correspondingly shortened.
The Hu Su Hu high-speed railway is a backbone line of the intercity rail transit network in the Yangtze River Delta region. The project starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Station, passes through Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and connects to Huzhou Station in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The total length of the line is 164 kilometers, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It has 8 stations including Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai Songjiang, Liantang, Suzhou South, Shengze, Huzhou Nanxun, Huzhou East, and Huzhou Station. Among them, Shanghai Hongqiao and Huzhou Station are existing stations, while the rest are new stations.
The opening and operation of the Shanghai Suzhou Hunan high-speed railway also means that the Hangzhou Wenzhou high-speed railway will usher in an important moment of fully connecting Hangzhou and Shanghai. At that time, the Hangzhou Wenzhou high-speed railway will connect to the Shanghai Suzhou Hunan high-speed railway, fully opening up the passage from Wenzhou to Hangzhou and Shanghai. It is reported that after the completion and opening of the Shanghai Suzhou Hunan high-speed railway, it will be connected to the Hangzhou Wenzhou high-speed railway and the Hunan Hangzhou high-speed railway to achieve seamless connection of the "Wenzhou Hangzhou Shanghai" high-speed railway expressway.

The reporter learned that after the opening of the Shanghai Suzhou Hunan high-speed railway, Wenzhou North can also directly reach Shanghai Songjiang, with the fastest train taking 2 hours and 50 minutes. This route passes through the Hangzhou Wenzhou high-speed railway and then transfers to the Shanghai Suzhou Hunan high-speed railway to reach Shanghai. This is much faster than taking a car to Shanghai Hongqiao Station and then transferring to the subway to Songjiang in just over an hour, "said Xiao Song, a Wenzhou student studying in Songjiang University Town in Shanghai. The opening of the new line has made it more convenient for him to go home during winter vacation.
